Alternatives/Plausible Analytics
Plausible alternative: when a smaller analytics tool is the point
agentsgym has cookieless analytics like Plausible, minus goals, funnels and self-hosting — bundled with daily authority tracking. Here is exactly when that trade is worth it, and when it is not.
Facts checked 2026-08-12. Prices and limits are the vendor's published numbers on that date.
Most people searching for a Plausible alternative want one of three things: a lower bill, self-hosting, or fewer tools open at once. agentsgym only answers the third — and it is upfront that Plausible is the better analytics product.
Short answer: stay on Plausible if you use goals, custom events, funnels or self-hosting. Switch to agentsgym if your analytics need is “how many people landed on my product page, from where” and you would rather have that on the same screen as your Domain Rating, referring domains and AI-search score.
Pricing, as published on 2026-08-12
| Plausible | agentsgym | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | $9/mo — Starter, up to 10k monthly pageviews, 1 site | $9/mo — Starter, up to 50k daily pageviews, 10 projects |
| Next tier | $14/mo — Growth, up to 3 sites, team collaboration | $29/mo — Pro, up to 250k daily pageviews, 25 projects |
| Funnels tier | $19/mo — Business, up to 10 sites, funnels and user journeys | not available |
| Free tier | Trial only | 1 project, 10k daily pageviews, no card |
| Metering | Monthly pageviews | Daily pageviews |
Read the metering row twice — it is the difference that matters. Plausible’s tiers are quoted per month; agentsgym’s are per day, because the meter also has to cover a daily paid authority check per project.

Why the small tool exists at all
The founder case: you shipped a product, you check whether the internet noticed, and the answer lives in four places — an analytics tab, an authority checker, a Search Console property, and an AI-visibility tool you keep meaning to try. agentsgym is the bet that for one product those four are one screen, and that the screen is mostly read by an agent, not by you.
That is why the analytics is deliberately thin: it exists so a Domain Rating chart has a traffic chart under it, and so the tool can meter honestly on a number you already understand.
When not to switch
- You run marketing on events and goals. Do not switch. You would be trading a working funnel for a chart.
- You need data residency or self-hosting. Plausible ships that; agentsgym is a hosted Cloudflare Worker.
- You have many client sites. Plausible Business covers ten sites for $19; agentsgym’s project cap exists because every project costs a paid authority check per day.
Running both
The cheap answer for many people: keep Plausible for product analytics, add the free agentsgym project for authority, referring domains and AEO. Two script tags is not a burden, and agentsgym’s tag sets no cookies either — see analytics without a cookie banner.
If you want the numbers in your terminal rather than a browser tab, wire the MCP endpoint into Claude Code and ask your agent for the weekly delta.
Where agentsgym loses
Plausible is the better analytics product, full stop: goals and custom events on every plan, funnels and user journeys on Business, an open-source self-hostable core, and years of product work on the dashboard. agentsgym analytics is pageviews, visitors, paths and referrers — nothing else.
Questions
- Is agentsgym a drop-in replacement for Plausible?
- No. It replaces the pageview/visitor/referrer part. If you use goals, custom events, funnels or the self-hosted version, Plausible has features agentsgym does not implement.
- Is agentsgym analytics cookieless like Plausible?
- Yes. No cookies, no persistent identifier. The visitor id is a hash of a daily-rotating server salt plus project, IP and user agent; the IP is used to compute the hash and then dropped, never stored or logged.
- What does agentsgym have that Plausible does not?
- A daily Domain Rating reading with referring-domain history, deterministic AEO scoring for AI search, a public share page and badge, and an MCP endpoint so your coding agent can read and act on all of it.
- How is it priced?
- On daily pageviews, not monthly: free up to 10,000/day with 1 project, $9/mo up to 50,000/day with 10 projects, $29/mo up to 250,000/day with 25 projects. Going over the limit never stops tracking — it prompts an upgrade.
Try it on your own domain
One project is free: a daily Domain Rating reading, referring domains, cookieless pageviews and AEO scans — all readable by your agent over MCP.
